Kiword Listen is a privacy-first Windows desktop app that turns meetings and lectures into speaker-labeled, searchable transcripts on your own PC. It captures audio at the process level, recognizes who is speaking with an on-device voiceprint engine, and keeps audio, transcripts, and voiceprints on your machine.
The Creem checkout lets you choose your own amount, with a current minimum of US$19.
What Kiword Listen does on your device
Every capability below is designed around the same constraint: recording a meeting or a lecture should not require uploading your audio to someone else's server.
Process-level audio capture on Windows
Kiword Listen records a specific application such as Zoom, Teams, or your browser through the native Windows WASAPI process loopback API. No virtual audio driver is required, and system notifications or ringtones stay out of the transcript.
On-device speaker recognition
A lightweight local voiceprint engine separates speakers in real time. Rename a speaker once, and the voiceprint is stored in a local database so later meetings are labeled automatically.
Structured, searchable transcripts
Transcripts come out as speaker-labeled, timestamped paragraphs that you can copy as clean text, Markdown, or HTML. Every session is stored locally and can be searched with full-text keyword search.
Local MCP integration for AI agents
A local MCP server lets Claude Desktop and other AI agents work with your live meeting context. Because the server runs on your PC, audio and transcripts stay on the device.
How community support works
Supporting Kiword Listen is optional. The payment page is hosted by Creem, and you decide how much to contribute as long as it meets the minimum shown at checkout (US$19 at the time this page was written).
Contributions go toward continued maintenance, documentation, and ongoing improvements to the project. Supporting the project does not create a Kiword subscription, does not change your Kiword account or plan, and does not grant Kiword product access.

No. Kiword Listen processes audio on your own PC. Audio, transcripts, and voiceprint data stay in the local application data folder, and the app is built so that recording does not require an internet connection.
