Kiword was born out of a real family scenario. When Kevin watched his 8-year-old child start writing essays on a computer, he noticed a common frustration: typing was slow, and getting thoughts onto the screen was a barrier to creativity.
Like many parents, Kevin explored using AI to help. However, he quickly realized that general-purpose AI tools like ChatGPT were not the solution. They were too eager to write the entire essay, leading to a dangerous dependency. They bypassed the learning process, reduced critical thinking, and weakened the child's opportunity to practice genuine expression.
This sparked the creation of Kiword. Kevin envisioned an AI tool that acts as a patient coach—one that empowers families with responsible AI use.
